Wild Rose Herbal D-tox Recipe

Chicken Tikka Masala

Brown or white saffron rice is a great accompaniment for this spicy indian dish.

Ingredients

1 tbsp butter
3 diced sweet onions
3 diced garlic cloves
2 tbsp fresh grated gingerroot
1 tsp salt
2 diced fresh chili peppers (red or green)
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp tumeric
2 tsp cumin powder or whole cumin seeds
5 diced tomatoes
2 tbsp diced fresh cilantro (coriander)
garam masala (optional)
4 chicken breasts or a few blocks of firm tofu cut into small chunks

Instructions

  1. Saute onions in butter until transparent (about 30 min.).
  2. Add 1 tsp salt, garlic, ginger and chili peppers and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Add remaining spices and mix well.
  4. Add tomatoes and mix well.
  5. Add chicken and cook until sealed. (If using tofu, fry tofu in oil until crispy on the outside, and then add to other ingredients.)
  6. Garnish with cilantro and garma-masala (optional).

hey twits... you can cook with your butter if you clarify it (ghee) before hand. or buy Ghee. to clarify simply leave butter out in warm spot (not an element) to melt. you will see the animal fat rise to the top leaving the Ghee clear oil below. skim off the fat and presto.. you have the only oil that remains stable in high temperatures. all other oils will turn rancid and promote free-radical cells in your body. IE: cancer cells. so Ghee it up and enjoy!
